Wow! I can't believe it! Read on..

Suffice it to say, I was very pleasantly surprised today while surfing the CTMH Consultant Bulletin Boards to come across a post crediting myself as someone's inspiration! I am so flattered that a fellow consultant, Pam Wallace, was inspired by some cards I made and was also kind enough to credit my work. Here is what she wrote:

Shh! This Valentine is for my Hubby

I actually dreamed about this card the other night. The random stamped owls anyway. Is that bad? Okay, it's not bad; just weird! Anyway, I woke up the next morning and had to make a card with it. Then I saw the sentiment, "Owl love you forever" and thought, "Oh my gosh! That was made for my card!" A fun little cluster of embellishments and "Wham-O"; here is my Valentine's Valentine. (He never looks at this blog so I'm not worried about spoiling it; hee, hee)

I used some of my new stuff from the Spring Idea Book from Close To My Heart and then some other CTMH stuff that I have had. My First Valentine This Year

I loved this stamp set the moment I laid eyes on it in the new Spring Idea Book! I have a feeling you may see a lot more artwork with this stamp, Love You Forever. It is a very sweet set and perfect for this time of the year.

I used my cuttlebug to emboss the Baby Pink Cardstock and then I used my Micro-Tip scissors to cut out the image of the birds in the nest. I also paper pieced with the new Topstitch papers and My Exclusive Inks in Heavenly Blue, Chocolate, Baby Pink and Desert Sand (for the nest) paired with the Blending Pen to color in the rest.

The stitches are actually paper pierced and then drawn with the My Exclusive Inks Marker in Chocolate.

I think I will be giving this sweet card to my baby girl for Valentine's Day. She is my oldest but will always be my Baby Girl.

Thank You to my wonderful Hostesses and Friends

So I really needed to make some more Thank You cards (I was completely out!) for my hostesses this month as well as all my new customers and friends. So I grabbed my favorite stamp set, My Acrylix Thank You, and an older promotional kit from Close To My Heart titled, Key to My Heart. The above two cards are what I came up with.

It is a simple layout with classic techniques which is usually a great formula for success. I happen to really like these and am very satisfied with the finished product. You can make some very nice cards yourself by using the same monochromatic color scheme ideas and classic stamp sets at home. You can purchase all the supplies needed for a project like this here, on my website.

I was inspired by this card from Karen Pedersen, a fellow Close To My Heart consultant:

Today's Kids Only! Club Layout

Every month I have 6 grade school children come to my home and make a 2 page layout themed for each month we get together. When we are done in June the kids will have a whole school year worth of layouts for a great album. It is a lot of fun and the kids (5 girls and yes, 1 boy) seem to really enjoy themselves and I like the casualness of the workshop as well as teaching the kids fun new techniques.

This is January's layout and I was able to put the most perfect pics on it from this past holiday. I will post the others as I get pictures put on them as well. Enjoy.
