I Finally Tried It! Stamping on Tile is Fun.

I wanted to make something unique and creative but also practical for gifts this year. I've seen these around a few times and finally made myself do it and I love the results. I used 4x4 natural stone tiles, Archival Ink in Black and some Close To My Heart stamp sets. Shown here are Treasure Life and Treasures. I love the organic feel of them. Sneak Peek of upcoming SOTMs! I LOVE them ALL!

I can't officially tell you all the details yet; but all these stamps are in the new Idea Book which goes live January 1. They are all fabulous! I wanted to play with them and I had the perfect excuse because I had 2 birthday cards and 1 anniversary card to make for family in the next 2 weeks!




All products used are Close To My Heart and I did mix in some current stamps with the NEW! I also used some more of my Bella paper (my favorite color is purple!!) since not all of my new stuff was in yet. All card layouts can be found in the book Wishes. I hope you drool over these as much as I did!

Sneak Peek of items for Santa's Shop and Craft Fair

I've been a busy little bee this week trying to get some items made for my first ever Craft Fair. My daughter's elementary school invited parents who own their own businesses to participate in their annual Santa's Shop and I am very excited. I tried to make fun, inexpensive little handmade gifts that everyone will love. Let me know what you think!



These glass ornaments were made with Close To My Heart re-inker in various colors, Prisma Glitter, Rub-ons and various grosgrain and ricrac ribbon. Everything but the ornaments are Close To My Heart products.




These are my nugget tins which have been inspired by other consultants from CTMH such as Laurel Seabrook. I have had this Christmas paper from Close To My Heart for two years; I just loved it! It is called Everlasting and is now retired. In fact, I made A LOT of handmade items this week with this paper pack; it truly was Everlasting!! I also used CTMH crocheted ribbon and hemp as well as some Martha Stewart punches for the border and snowflake.



I made these 25 little Christmas cards and put them in sets of five with coordinating envelopes. They really turned out great (thanks to Antoinette Herrin and Amber Hanson for the ideas and templates) and if they don't sell I will definetely use them myself! I used up more of the Everlasting paper and a retired stamp set, Warm Memories from CTMH that I refuse to let go of because I love it so!!


And finally.. these are Gift Card Holders! How cute are they? What a fun way to present a plain old gift card!! The gift card just slips inside the pocket on the inside and ties with this pretty little ribbon and is finished off with a nice little sentiment from CTMH's November Stamp of the Month Holiday Wishes (which I will be raffling off at the craft fair!) These babies also helped me finish off the last of my Everlasting paper packet; sob..

Card Set Made from CTMH Wishes How-To Book

My first "hired out" job! I am really proud at how it came out. My friend asked me to make some thank you cards for another friend who recently had a baby boy. The nursery colors are blues and greens with a nautical theme and she wanted the cards to reflect that.

The card set was made from the Greetings Card Workshop from CTMH's Wishes book. It was so simple and fun! The workshop only uses ONE sheet of B&T and TWO sheets of Cardstock along with standard size card bases. I used Stardust paper, stamp sets Thank You and Baby Gifts (retired) along with Moonstruck and Outdoor Denim ink and Key Lime and White Daisy cardstock.

The cute little card box to hold it all was inspired by Vicki Wizniuk, a fellow CTMH consultant who is absolutely brilliant! Thanks Vicki!

Fun LO using My Acrylix Santa's List and Jingle Paper

This is a layout I made to participate in a swap with fellow consultants. I used Jingle paper and My Acrylix Santa's List. The layout is from Close To My Heart's how-to-book Imagine. I had a lot of fun with extra embellishments like Basic Craft Buttons, Hemp, Twill Ribbon, Foam Tape and Liquid Applique. I used a few fun and very basic techniques to make it unique and more original such as, random stamping, stamping on ribbon, 2nd generation stamping (in the random stamping) and sponging the edges of the Juniper cardstock. Christmas Layout - I love, love, love glitter!!

This is the other layout I did for the CTMH consultant swap I am in. I used REALLY retired Lvl II paper entitled simply enough, Christmas. I had a lot of fun using a lot of different techniques on this!
